International Houseware Association (IHA)’s Global Innovation Award (GIA)

Equator Won Award for Best Household Electrics and Best Overall Winner out of 500 products, 65 finalists and 12 categories in March 2017

About GIA: The IHA Global Innovation Awards (gia) were created with the objective of fostering innovation and excellence in housewares retailing throughout the world. The competition is structured on a two-tier level, national and global. Co-sponsoring the country-specific gia awards programs with IHA are over 25 housewares trade publications worldwide, which sponsor national gia programs in their respective countries.

About IHA Home+Housewares Show - In addition to more than 2,100 exhibitors showcasing thousands of new products, the International Home + Housewares Show offers visitors education and insight into business practices and trends that are shaping the industry. It has over 62,000 visitors each year.

The association has more than 1,600 member companies from more than 40 countries. IHA is well known for its annual International Home + Housewares Show that is held in March at McCormick Place in Chicago. Member services include industry and government advocacy, export assistance, state of the industry reports, a quarterly newsletter with POS and consumer panel data, executive management peer groups and group discounts for business solution services. In addition, the association also offers educational support to the Housewares Design Awards to help promote the importance of design in the housewares industry.
